Here are some of our family pictures that we took two weeks ago!
One month!
Well, here we are and Andrew is now 1 month old! Time sure goes by fast when your having fun and being busy! Today we got in the tub together and he loved it so much that he decided to poo about 3 times and so it wasn't any longer a clean tub. So then we got in the shower to wash off and he loved it so much! He could have been in it forever! He is doing so great with sleeping. Last night he slept for about 4 almost 5 hours! I didn't think he would sleep that long but he sure did and he was still tired after he got done eating. It was nice for me to get that sleep! He is starting to make more noises now! It's so dang cute! He is getting blessed in two weeks and i am going to find him a tux looking suit! I will put pictures up after the event! Anyone is invited to his blessing. It's May 4th at 9:00 a.m. at out church in American Fork! There is food afterwards at our place! Let me know if you are coming!
I know it took us a while to post pictures up but here he is! Andrew Michael Atkinson! He was born March 25th at 5:27 p.m. He weighed 8lbs 6oz 19 1/2 inches. Big boy! He has a lot of hair and it's blonde with a tint of red to it! So cute! He has very long fingers and toes! I don't know where he got that from! He was in the ICU for all 3 days we were there. He had fluid in his lungs and wasn't breathing well. They had him on oxygen and a I.V. He was able to come home with us on Thursday night very late. But i'm just glad he came home with us! We had him on oxygen and on a monitor here at home but we went to the doctor yesterday and he said to take him off of the oxygen for 24 hours and he has been off and doing so well! He is one strong boy! He is such a major blessing in our lives! I love being a mom and Chad loves coming home to his little boy!
The baby is still not here.....
So, he still hasn't come yet. I'm 2 days overdue and it's driving me crazy. We went into the hospital last Saturday thinking we were going to stay and have him but they sent me home because my contractions weren't consistant I guess. They said I was at a 3 and still 80 percent effaced. I really think that if a doctor would have checked me instead of a nurse he would have said i was dilating more than that. I really feel now that i'm at least a 5. I don't know how to explain it but I really feel I am more. I still am having contractions but they are up and down. They will stay consistant for like 30 minutes and then slow down or be further apart. It is frustrating but I really believe my body is getting ready but either slower than i want or just differently. Maybe i'll be one of those girls where I will be all of a sudden dilated at a 8 and then go in and have him really fast! That for sure could happen! I know he is ready to come. But he is being very patient! I have a regular doc appointment on Friday morning and i'm pretty sure they will just induce me then since it would almost be a week after my due date. So i'm pretty sure he will be here by this weekend if anything! We'll keep you all updated!!
