So, the other day I had the flu and was not feeling well at all. I looked to Andrew and he said mom, are you not feeling good? I said no im not. I feel sick. When you say your prayers will you pray for me to get better?" he says " ya, and get the oil out off the keys and give you a blessing"? I just laughed and said " yes. You can do that when you get older"! He was all excited! I love the things he says sometimes!

So, we found out that we are expecting a new little one in August! We are so very excited!! I would be even more excited if I could stop feeling so sick! I am hoping this first trimester will go by fast! Then we can find out what we are having! So exciting!

Well, the other day I was cleaning and Andrew was going potty and he started to throw a fit because he didn't want to wipe his bum. (I think he wants to be lazy and always wants me to wipe it). So I told him to stay there until he wiped his bum. Then I couldn't hear him anymore and this is what I found!! I was laughing so hard! He woke up saying he couldn't feel his legs!
I am so grateful for the laughter and joy he brings to our family!!

We have moved!!

We moved from American fork to Lehi about a 3 weeks ago! But I'm sure you would like to hear the real story right? Well, it all started after we put our townhome up for sale. After we went under contract our upstairs toilet decided to leak all night long. So we woke up to our upstairs bathroom, hallway and bedroom under 2 inches of water! Then we went downstairs and it had leaked thru to the family room! We called our insurance company and they sent out a restoration company ASAP. We then found out we needed new carpet in the whole house except for one room. So we got a storage pod and had to put all of our furniture in it while they ripped up carpet and had heaters and fans on. It was 108 degrees in our house. Just so they could get it dry. It was soo hot!!!! Luckily we were staying at a hotel in Lehi. But the bad thing was we stayed in the hotel for three weeks!!! Way too long for the kids and we had to eat out almost every meal. It was so hard! We did have maids to clean our rooms! That was a nice break for me! Lol! But I was craving to cook home made meals! It was driving me crazy.
After the second week of staying there we found a house in Lehi that we could move to anyways. Since we were selling our home. So the third week we slowly moved out of the hotel and the townhome and into our new house!! We finalized on our townhome a couple of weeks ago! It feels so nice to have that place sold and we can move on! We love the room that we have and our garage is a plus!! I will post pictures later!

Stolen Card...

I got a call yesterday from my bank.....it was a call that I thought I would never get.
The bank told me that someone in New Jersey got a hold of my card number and used it at Walmart and Target!!!
I was shocked and just kind of didn't know what to say!
She explained a little more to me and said we would have to cancel everything and get me a new account number and new cards. Then she asked me if I had any questions....I just sat there drawing a blank and couldn't think of anything to say. She "just said oh well okay then..let me know if you have any questions."
So, today I had to go into my bank and fill out some forms so they would reimburse me. I am so grateful that my bank knows what they are doing and staying on top of things! I from now on will not use my card as debit and do not want to buy anything online. A similar thing happened to my brother last week. America Express called him asking if he had approved of a purchase in another state the amount of $1,200. And another of $1,500. He said no and so they were actually able to catch that person. That person apparently made a card when he got his number. So he could use it.
Everyone....please be careful when using your card for ANYTHING!
There are really crazy and stupid people out there!

Diaper cakes I have made...

I made this diaper cake for my wonderful friend Ashley! I am so excited to see her sweet little girl soon!

I made this diaper cake for Tina who just adopted their second child! So exciting!
This is my fourth diaper cake I have made so far. I will find pictures of the other two I have made.
I learned with this diaper cake that I love the receiving blankets around each layer to hide the diapers more. I also have a blanket that is on the bottom taped around a light weight pizza pan.
I LOVE making diaper cakes! Can't you tell? I think they are so much fun! If any of you are wanting a diaper cake made for someone special then let me know!

I dyed my hair all brown! No, it's not AS brown as we all pictured it being but it's still cute right? I like it but I haven't decided if I LOVE it yet. I already miss my blond. I now am having to decide...do i put more brown in it to make it a darker brown? Do I just put blond back in? Or Do I do the darker brown but do way more blond on top?

Ya....I don't know what i'm going to do. I feel like the color I have right now is a in between color. I think that's why I don't love it.

What do you think??

Isaac is 9 Months

One of Isaac's new favorite things to do is pull all of the wipes out of the bag. Oh how I love the exploring he is doing right now. He isn't crawling yet but should be soon. He sits there and then leans forward and then falls onto his stomach. Then rolls over to his back and gets stuck.
He LOVES Andrew so much. Anytime Andrew laughs he laughs and loves to copy him. Isaac is such a good hugger. This last week he started this new growling thing in the back of his throat. I have no idea on why he does it but it's so funny.
He also almost has his 2 bottom teeth in! They have been trying to break through for a month now poor kid!
One thing he does that I think is so funny is bonks. If you are holding him and say bonks he leans his head forward to bonk your head. He thinks its so funny.
I took him to his 9 month check up today and he did so well when he got some shots. He cried for about a minute and was done. When they had to do a little poke in his toe to check for iron...ya he just sat there and stared at the nurse. Didn't even cry at all. I was so surprised. He did so well today!
He weighed 18 pounds.
He is about 18 percentile for weight and height right now. But the doc said that's normal around this age.
He is doing really well with the whole weening thing. The doc said I can give him milk. So, I am giving him Almond milk and regular milk and only nursing a couple times a day. Plus he loves food. So he is always eating all day long. I hope it will continue to go smoothly. I love my Isaac so much! He is such a light and joy to our family! He loves to smile at everyone and just giggle at everything.
I love my two boys!

Recipe 3 & 4

Crock Pot Chicken

1lb. chicken breast
8oz. cream cheese
3Tbs. butter
4Tbs. dry onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pkg. dry Italian dressing mix
1 bag egg noodles, cooked
The recipe didn't say how much milk to add so I just guessed.

Salt and pepper chicken and place in crock pot. Add remaining ingredients, except the milk, and cook on low for 5-6 hours. Add milk with 30 minutes remaining. Shred chicken and mix together. Serve over noodles or rice. We had this over rice! It was amazing!

Chicken Ranch Tetrazzini

8 ounces uncooked spaghetti
2 cups shredded or cubed cooked chicken
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup Hidden Valley Ranch dressing
1 jar (41/2 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 Tbs. dry bread crumbs

Cook spaghetti according to package. Drain and combine with chicken, broth, dressing & mushrooms in a large mixing bowl. Place mixture in a 2-quart casserole. Mix together cheese and bread crumbs; sprinkle over spaghetti mixture. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until casserole is hot and bubbly.

We don't like mushrooms so I added corn instead. This actually called for ceasar dressing if you wanted to use that instead of ranch.

Cruise VS Nursing

In January we are going on this.....

I have to stop nursing Isaac with in the next month! I am really having a hard time thinking that pretty soon I won't be nursing him anymore. I don't mind nursing. I love the bond that I get with him. See with Andrew it was easy....he just stopped at 10 months. He didn't care for it anymore. In a way I wish that Isaac would do the same. Today I started giving him a bottle of almond milk instead of nursing before his nap. I was surprised at how well he did with taking the bottle. The one thing I worry about the most is night times. He still wakes up at least once if not twice a night to nurse to go back to sleep. I know he shouldn't be doing this still but I don't mind it and it's fast and easy. That will be the hardest thing to do is to not nurse at nights.

I am so nervous to leave my baby and 2 year old for 8 days! That's normal right? I know they will be well taking care of. They love their grandparents. But Andrew will know that we are leaving. He understands a little better as to whats going on. I just know I am going to be crying when we leave them! I know the time will go by fast and it will be so nice to not have kids so we can do what we want to. But it will be so hard for me. Maybe when I stop nursing Isaac in the next while it won't be AS hard for me to leave him?.

When I think about us leaving my stomach starts to turn and i feel all nervous. I know Heavenly Father will watch over us and them that we will be safe and will make it home okay. I guess maybe I need more reasurrance that everything will be okay.

A new recipe motivation!

So, we are so tired of all of the same meals that I make all the time. My husband is so tired of Taco salad and taco soup and Alfredo with noodles. So, I decided a while ago to make a post about it. I am going to find one new meal to make each week for a month. I could do at least 2 meals a week but I don't want to pressure myself too much. I will then post the recipe on here and tell you how it went each week. I challenge any of you to try this out for you and your family. I know the first meal I found and made my family LOVED it! I am already behind on posting this because I found my first recipe two weeks ago.

So.......WEEK # 1......
White Chicken Chili

Melt 1/2 stick butter
Add 1/4 c. flour
Make a paste.

Add:
3/4 c. chicken broth
2 cups milk

Stir together to make a thick white sauce. Then add:
11/2 tsp. chili powder ( I use only 1 tsp. because I don't like it too spicy.)
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. pepper
2(4-oz.) cans of diced green chilies
chicken breasts cooked and shredded( sometimes I use canned chicken)
3 cans navy beans or white northern beans
1 can of corn( If desired)

Don't drain liquids out of cans. Heat all ingredients together. If desired, top with shredded cheese, tomatoes, & sour cream.

WEEK # 2

Chicken Taco Pasta

I know the name is a little weird...but try it before you judge it.

3 chicken breasts, cooked and cubed( i used canned chicken)
1 can of black beans rinsed and drained
1 can corn drained
1 can diced chilie's
1 packet taco seasoning
1/2 cup salsa
4 oz. cream cheese ( I would have liked more. Maybe 6oz.)
1 packet of hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1 can olives, sliced
6 oz. of cooked penne pasta
shredded cheddar cheese for topping

Cook pasta til done. While pasta is cooking simmer everything else in a large pan until well combined. Add pasta when it's done and bake in a 13x9 casserole dish at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Add the cheese when it's done or if you like it melted put it on a few minutes before is is done in the oven. Scrumdiddly!

Andrew's conversations....

Andrew and I had our first real conversation the other day. We were in his room and his window was open. He could hear some sirens from a fire truck and he stops and I said oh the fire truck is going to help people who might have a owie. He repeated the exact thing I said. I said uh huh. Cool huh? He said ya. (my brother in law Rob is a firefighter and I said ya, Rob goes and helps people too. He said oh when they have owie's? I said yup. And Heavenly Father watches over them and helps them too. He said Heavenly Father has owie's? I just laughed and said no......Heavenly Father helps them. He kept repeating and asking questions about it for the next 30 minutes. He was so into the whole thing. It was the cutest thing ever! Andrew is growing up so fast and is learning so much everyday!
When he was a baby I used to try and imagine what it would be like when he could have conversations with me and well......here it starts! I LOVE it! I do. Sometimes I just want him to be quiet for just one minute but most of all...I love it. It's so fun!

Sweet Isaac was so good for me!

I decided to go to my parents house and stay there for a week while Chad was on a "business" trip. It was a lot of fun and i'm glad I didn't stay home! Although both my boys ended up on getting pretty sick and that was not fun. No sleep....no time to eat much...and I didn't get to help my mom around the house as much as I wanted. BUT it still was a lot of fun being with my parents!

We took these pictures in Manti by the temple. My brother Evan (down in the front yellow) came home from his mission last week. We are so excited he is finally home!! He served his mission in Austria, Germany. He enjoyed every minute of it and is such an AMAZING example!

I love my family so much! I am so grateful for them all!

Isaac's 6 month check up

First off I just have to tell what Dr.Wilcox said when he walked in to see Isaac sitting on the table playing with a toy. He walks in and looked shocked and said" I can't believe what i'm seeing right now". I said "what"? He said I am shocked that Isaac is sitting up so perfectly all by himself on that table at 6 months old"! I was like really isn't that normal? He said " no, most kids this age are still falling over and or wabbely". I was excited he said that! Both my boys have learned how to sit up by themselves at 6 months. I don't know what it is...the bumbo chair maybe? Anyways here are his stats..........

Weight: 16.31lbs( A little small but still good)
%tile: 20.99

Head: %tile- 13.88(pretty small head but I rather he have a small head than big)

Length: 27.5 inches
%tile: 77.95!! ( He is one TALL baby if you ask me) I don't know where he got that from! :)

Isaac is one happy baby! Even when he is teething or is sick. He is a really happy easy going baby and I am so grateful for that. I love him so very much! Even though I would LOVE a girl....I wouldn't change a thing with having my two boys! I am glad that I have 3 boys that will always look out for me!

Pizza Calzones

Here is one of my families favorite recipes! It is so easy!
Preheat oven to 350.
I use frozen Rhodes Rolls and let them thaw out for about 30 min. Depending on how hot the room is.
I combine 2 rolls together to make them bigger. Once when you get them stretched out you then put pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese and whatever else you would like. Then you pinch the sides together. It may not be perfect but try to get as much pinched together you can to keep everything in.
Put in oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

Trials....

I just have to say how grateful I am for trials. I may have said this before, but it's true! Yes, they are hard and when your actually in a trial of course your not going to be grateful for it at the time. But we have had a crazy week this week. I guess I was kind of feeling like life was just kind of at a platueo....then we have trials this week and it was hard but I loved how they helped us learn and grow. It helped our testimonies grown and to really realize how every minute of every day is so important! Live every minute of everyday to the fullest!
The trials this week aren't as bad as others that I have had in my life...but they were bad enough that I was able to learn from them. I am so grateful for Heavenly Father for giving us these trials to help us stay on the right path and to stay close to him!

I love my two sweet beautiful boys! I love my wonderful husband! I have such great friends around me and an amazing family! Thank you so much for all of those who have been and are in my life as well as my families life who have been such great examples of love and happiness!

In memory of Rachelle!

8 years ago today my amazing sister Rachelle passed away. She had non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Rachelle had this cancer for almost a year. She had 2 beautiful children named Tayson and Alyssa. Rachelle was one of those people who would say hi to you in a random store. She was the most Christ like person I have ever known. Rachelle would always make sure everyone else was okay around her before she thought about herself. I always looked up to Rachelle. I couldn't figure out on why or how she was always so happy. Even when she was sick and in so much pain! I remember there was a time when a friend wanted to come and visit her and just before we let that friend in she was in so much pain that day and was really struggling. But when that friend came in she just lite up and pretended she was fine. I remember thinking "Wow....she really is just like Christ".
I am so very grateful of the knowledge I have that families can be together forever! I know she is doing so much great work here on this earth. I know she is still out there touching lives but pain free!
I love you Rachelle! I miss you so very much!!

Yes, his blessing outfit is a little big on him! He is just so skinny and long. So, this is what worked! Love it!

Chad gave a GREAT blessing! It was very spiritual and very strong! We had a lot of wonderful family and friends to come and support us. The weather wasn't the best that day and so we had to fit 40 people in our town home! It was tight but we did it! I was so stressed all week long and how everyone was going to fit. We had pretty much every space filled with a body in our house! It was so great! Good thing we all liked each other! :)
I just have to say how grateful I am for this gospel! I am grateful for the love and support we have around us. I am also so very grateful for Chad! He is such an amazing father to our beautiful boys and a great husband! I love my boys with all my heart!
Thank you so much to the wonderful family and friends that were there for us!

I know this is late but at least I put it up! We went down to Manti and did the Easter egg hunt there. They had this HUGE field for ages 2 and 3 and their wasn't hardly any kids. Let's just say Andrew got a lot of candy! They had so many different kinds of candy and the best part was that this was free! It did start to snow on us and it was freezing but still fun! Every time Andrew would pick up a piece of candy he would try to open it and eat it. I kept having to tell him to hurry and put it in the basket so we could get more! ( I had to get some candy for me too ya know!)

I just have to say how much this double stroller is going to save my life and make things so much easier! Last week I went out shopping and only had my single stroller which Isaac was in. Andrew was being a 2 year old and kept running away from me and is too friendly to strangers! It was so stressful. Finally I found a stroller that I like and was cheap and had great reviews! I am now so excited to be able to go anywhere and know that my 2 year can't run away. It makes me even excited to go to the Zoo or something! Thanks Target!

On Andrew Birthday!

We had him open some presents from Mom & Dad & Isaac.

We went to Leatherby's and ate yummy food and had great dessert!

They sang Happy Birthday to him and he sang right with them! It was so cute! He loved the attention and loved the fact that he had his own ice cream in his own cup!

I did a Elmo Pineata (how ever you spell that)! The kids all loved it! It did have strings on it to pull but we still wanted to do the traditional way. And yes all we could find was a plastic golf club!

Andrew had so many great presents! And of course some great helpers! :)

Highlight of my day....

One of my favorite highlights of my day is tucking Andrew into bed. The first thing we do is say a prayer and he says Amen. Then we sing at least one song whether it's I love to see the Temple or I am a child of God. Either one he knows very well and sings it with us. Then I say I love you Andrew, sleep good. He says" Love you mama, sleep good".
I just have to say that I just melt when he says Love you Mama. He is just so sweet and caring and loving. I am so grateful to have him in our family! I love him so much! I can't wait to be able to tuck in Andrew AND Isaac one day!

Cruise or not cruise?

I need some advice.........
Chad and I have a great opportunity to go on a cruise that is all paid for in January. We had the same opportunity two years ago when Andrew was only 10 months old and we didn't go because I was still nursing and way too scared to leave Andrew here. Since I had both my boys around the same time of year...it's the exact same problem. Isaac will be 10 months old and I will be nursing as well. I want to go on the cruise so bad and Chad says he is going without me no matter what. :)
So, I found out as far as the cruise ship goes we can take Isaac with us. Which by the way we are going on the new Oasis ship that came out last year!
The question is......do I go and take Isaac with us or do I go with out Isaac and stop nursing or do I just not go at all?? I know pretty much all of you will say for me to just go...but i'm having a hard time thinking about leaving Andrew let alone both boys and stop nursing.
What do you think??????

Isaac is finally here........

It all started on Monday the 1st of March 2010. The hospital called me at 6:15 AM and asked for us to be there at 7:00 AM to be induced. We dropped Andrew off at our wonderful friend Ashleys house and headed there. The first thing Dr.Lamorauex did was he broke my water then they gave me the wonderful Pitocin to get my contractions going. Then i had the epidural not too much longer but it took them almost a hour to put it in. The first lady was having a hard time getting it in my back. She kept poking me and poking me and finally got it in but then she needed to take it out a little and the whole thing fell out! I just started to bawl because I hate getting the epidural but I love the effect it gives. I was so nervous already to get it and then she said she had to do it all over. The numbing part is the worst part ever. So, she had another guy come in to help her because I was feeling the pressure more on the right side of my spine. He came in and had a little trouble but he got it in with in about 15 minutes. After about 30 minutes I started to feel numb from my feet to my chin. I kept coughing because my throat felt part numb. They then had to come and turn off the epidural machine completely for 30 minutes. Then I got it turned back on because i was dialated to a 7 and started to feel my contractions. Then I started to feel so much pressure and knew it wasnt just contractions it was Isaacs head. Sure enough the doctor came in and he went to check me and Isaacs head was right there. He was ready to come out right then! I had him at 12:45 PM. He weighed 7lbs 60z and 19 inches long. He has lots of dark hair. He is so much smaller than Andrew was. We are both doing great and are both healthy!

39 weeks.....

Well, I went to my doctor again today even though I was just there last Friday. I went in to get my membranes stripped again and to see if I had dialated more from getting my membranes stripped last Friday. I am now pretty much a 4(is how the doc said it). He stripped my membranes again and boy did it just kill this time! Last time it didn't hurt that bad but this time....oh it hurt. I have been having much stronger contractions all day. Normally they calm down by now(10:00p.m.) but I am still having them. They aren't consistant but strong. I guess i'm just waiting for my water to break! I will be going up and down my stairs like crazy and walking around my home as much as I can. I don't really want to be at a store when my water breaks. Although it would be a pretty dang funny story. I will try to keep you all posted!

This isn't the best picture.....we took this at around 10:30 at night and i looked way too tired to show my face. lol. I am 36 weeks along.

I know I am always talking about this pregnancy but it's of course one of the main things on my mind. I went to my doctor today and i'm now dialated to a 3 and 70 percent effaced. The doctor said that at my next appointment I could get my membranes stripped if I wanted to but he pretty much said that will put me right into labor. He basically said if i'm having contractions that are so bad to where I can't walk or talk then to go straight to the hospital. Which makes sence. When I got to a 4 with Andrew that's when everything went so fast and all of a sudden he was in my arms. We still don't have a name yet and I really think that once we do decide on one..he will come.
I hope all is going well for all of you!

I went to my doctor yesterday and he said I am dialated at a 2 now and 60% effaced. Which is good because I have progressed and i'm only 36 weeks. I am thinking I will have him early but I could be wrong. I think we might have a name picked out. Alex Thomas Atkinson. Alex and Andrew....isn't that so cute? What do you think?

A little update on pregnancy...

I went to my doctor last Friday and everything is good. I'm still dialated at a 1 and now 75 percent effaced. Nothing really has changed which is a good thing for now! I will be 35 weeks on Wednesday and the docs say that if I make it past 34 weeks then i am pretty much safe to have the baby. I rather wait as long as I can of course for his sake.....but for my bodies sake....i wouldn't mind to have him in the next two weeks. But he will come when he is supposed to! I am still having contractions and cramping but i will have to say that i'm not taking it AS easy as i was before. I guess I just feel so relieved and not as stressed anymore about having him so early.
I know that Heavenly Father has helped me out so much lately and i am so grateful and blessed!
I did set my inducement day for March 1st just in case I go that far! We will see! I will keep you all updated!

2nd false alarm...and only 32 weeks...

Yesterday we ended up on going into the hospital again to make sure I wasn't in labor. The last time we went was on New Years Eve at 1 in the morning. I thought my water had broken but everything was good and the baby was great! My wonderful friend came over to be with Andrew and did our dishes and did some laundry! Little stinker....but man I am so grateful for her for doing that! It helped so much! Thank you!!
Anyways, yesterday we went in because my contractions were about every 5 min. apart and i was feeling nauseous and had pre-labor signs. We went in and they said i am dialated at a one and 60 percent effaced. They gave me an I.V. to get me hydrated and also did zulfran to help my sickness go away. We were there for almost 2 hours. They sent me home and I still have to take it easy. I am glad everything was okay and that I wasnt in labor. I rather keep this little guy in as long as I can. I still get contractions everyday, but trying to take it easy and do a little at a time to get prepared for this little guy! I just have to keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason. I know Heavenly Father has a plan and that everything will be okay even if this baby is born early. He is a very special child and he is and will be watched over.
Now we just need to still decide on a name for him. I cant figure it out. I we will for sure once when we see him but so far we only have like 2 names that we have on our list. Any suggestions?

Christmas at my parent's house!

While at my parents house for Christmas, Andrew fell asleep and when Chad went to go check on him he found him laying on top of the dvd player. He didn't sleep much longer because i'm sure he couldn't get much more comfortable! So great!

He got a 4 wheeler and absolutely loves it! He rides on it every single day!

This was a Santa that he did not like at all! I don't get what the difference is between all the Santa's. Once he got the treat bag he was totally fine!

Tradition with my family is to tell a Christmas story and sing Christmas songs. We love it when my dad gets his guitar out and plays it! It makes it that much more fun!

Andrew really LOVED this Santa. He didn't cry or anything. Santa asked him what his name was and he said very soft "Andrew" and pointed to his chest! It was so dang cute! I wish I recorded it! This was at my family Christmas party.

This year with Chad's dad and family we made ginger bread houses. Chad's step mom made everything from scratch! We did cheat and used hot glue gun. Sorry! But it was so much easier! Andrew kept grabbing whatever candy he could off of the tables and everyone else's houses! He did ruin one of them but I don't think they cared! Let's just say he had WAY too much candy that day!

I did go in and take the test.....the first time they sent me back home with out taking it because I had to wait 24 hours from yesterdays visit. So, I went back this afternoon and it's a negative! Which is so great!! But now today more than ever i am feeling SO much pressure! I think he is low. I just still have to be careful. They will take another test in 2 weeks to make sure then as well. I just need to keep him in for at LEAST 4-5 more weeks!! I'm sure everything will be fine! I have faith and know that everything is exactly perfect. Heavenly Father sure has been helping me out a lot lately and he does answer prayers!

Well, I went to the doctor today to make sure that everything was okay. I have been having a lot of braxton hicks/contractions and not just when i'm walking around or doing something but also when i'm sitting down. I wanted to make sure i wasn't dialiating before we left out of town for the holidays. The doctor said i'm probably having pre-labor contractions, which aren't too serious. I'm not dialiating but he said if my contractions get any worse then to go back in and get a FFN test. Which they will test to make sure my body isn't in labor. He also said i am very soft.(the women will know what I mean).I will see how tonight and tomorrow goes to tell me if I should go in or not. It's almost like I should just go in just to be safe, but we will see. What do you think? Go in.....or not?

7 Months.....

Well,
I am 7 months pregnant today! Can I just say that this little boy moves SO much more than Andrew did! He does like flips and turns to where I just sit there and can watch him move everywhere. I LOVE it! He LOVES to move a lot like that at nights as well...which....I don't love as much. It keeps me up sometimes. I do think that this one could be bigger than Andrew, which i hope is not true...but i guess the main thing i need to hope for is just a healthy baby. I will do anything to get him here and in my arms!
I will have to say that my heart has been acting very weird and it only happens at nights. It will beat really fast. Almost like I ran a mile and it will keep going for at least an hour. Then i feel my heart beat in my head and sometimes my back, then my arms will go numb. It's really weird. I still don't know what it is. I thought it was because of not enough water or just over did it that day. So, I will ask my doctor next week.
Andrew lately has been so in love with any baby he see's. If we are at a store he will start saying baby..baby and he will want to hold it. I hope he stays that way when his little brother comes.
Andrew has such a sweet and tender heart that I think he will be such a great help and such a great brother. He loves to give kisses on my belly to his brudder is what he calls him. LOL.
I am so excited for him to be a big brother. Yes, I would have loved a girl but I am so very glad i'm having a boy for Andrew. They will be best buds! Less than 2 years a part! Perfect!

I just had to put this up on my blog because I know I always like to know what are the best hair products! So..........my sister in law had this over Thanksgiving and I tried it on mine and Andrew's hair....LOVED it! I bought it at Walmart for 5.00. It lasts a very long time. My hair is thin and out of every other hair spray I have tried..well it doesn't last very long in my hair!
I highly recommend you trying this out if you are of need of something new! It also doesn't make your hair crusty!

I went to my doctor today and everything is great. The heartbeat is great. Although I did have to do the glucose drink...not my favorite. At least it was fruit punch instead of the Orange flavor! The doctor did say I am measuring a little bit bigger than normal but it won't change my due date. Which is good. I just hope this little boy isn't any bigger than Andrew or i'm in trouble!

Whole Wheat Banana Bread...........

This recipe is so easy and so great!

3 ripe bananas
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Mash together and set aside

1 cup sugar
3/4 cup shortening/butter ( used butter)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cup flour white/wheat ( I used wheat)
Mix together and add banana mixture
Put into 2 medium size pans. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes

Britt's Birthday

On my birthday Chad and I went on a date. Chad's dad and step mom watch Andrew for us. Chad took me to Ruby Tuesday for dinner which is one of my favorite places to eat. We used to go there all the time before we got married and really haven't been back since. So, it brought back great dating memories! After that we went to the District to do a little shopping and to watch "Love Happens". I LOVED that movie!! I think it only have like 3 swear words in it. It was clean and all about how to cope when you lose a loved one. It had a little of everything...love...happiness....& of course you cry a little. Chad even liked it! Highly recommend it. After that we went to get Andrew and headed home. It was so great to be on a date with my wonderful hubby! I did get a new Camera for my birthday which i was SO stoked about! I love it!
The top picture you see is a week later at our house. Chad invited his family over to have 7 layer dip and cake and ice cream. It was a lot of fun!

Andrew is 19 months old!

This is in our desk. He can climb all the way in and shut the door. He LOVES it!

Went miniature golfing with my family at Trafalga. He had to do it himself.

This was at a family blessing. I just think he looks so hansom!

The joys of climbing into things! He kept climbing in and out and would sit down.

I can't believe that Andrew is 19 months already! He is getting so big so fast! His favorite thing to do right now it a flip/roll on the floor all by himself! And he also has learned to jump with both feet in the air. Daddy is teaching him all sorts of gymnastic things and he loves to do what daddy does! He is at the point right now where he can say some words but the rest of the time when he can't say what he needs to say he gets frustrated and just pulls on my leg. He does say a lot though! He says something new everyday! He LOVES to sing " I am a Child of God" and "twinkle twinkle little star" and then clap after the song!
I don't know if I have talked about this yet but we found out about a month ago that he has asthma. That's mainly why he has gotten colds so often. We now have his asthma pumps which have made a huge difference. We might take him in to a pulmonologist to make sure it really is just asthma. We will take it from there. I really hope and pray that he will grow out of this soon. The doctor said a lot of kids to grow out of it around age 4. So, we are hoping it will go away. Asthma does run in my family and my sister and brother that has it...has it pretty bad.
Of course Andrew has just been such a great trooper through it all and has been so patient. Let's just say he has taught me a lot of patience.
I am so grateful for Andrew and for all that he teaches me everyday! I love being home with him all day long and spending every moment I can! I know things will change a lot when the 2nd baby comes but I know that Andrew will be patient and loving through it all!

21 Week check up.....

I went to the doctor this morning to do an ultrasound. Technically to find out what the sex is but since we found out early it was just to check on the baby. This little boy is nice and healthy. The doctor said that he measures a little bit bigger than normal which would put my due date to March 5th instead of the 3rd but he said two days doesn't really change much so we are keeping it the 3rd. I am glad! Just before we did the ultrasound this boy was moving so much and had the hiccups which most the time if he moves a lot its for a short time. But this time it was like 10 min. and i loved it! Right when Chad put his hand on to feel him....well.....he stopped moving again! Chad still hasn't been able to feel him move. I guess I will have to have a little talk with this boy!
We are very excited to have him come into our family and be here on this earth! We have a lot to do before he comes but somehow we will get it all done.

I will try to scan in the ultrasound pictures later.

I know this is kind of gross but this just shows you how badly our carpets needed to be cleaned. You can see the new white side compared to the nasty dirty side. My older brother owns my dad's carpet cleaning company in St.George and came up one weekend to clean all of his sister's houses. He did such a great job!! I do have to say though that only about 3 days after they were cleaned, our wonderful dog decided to pee twice in our bedroom on the carpet. She never ever pee's inside the house!! Let's just say she was in time out for a long time! ( I really do put her in time out in the bathroom when she is in trouble).
I am so thankful for having such a wonderful brother to come up and do this for us!

A great soup recipe!

After I made this soup recipe tonight I decided to share it with all of you. It isn't the most healthiest soup by any means, But it is very good! It doesn't take very long to make either! Which is something huge for me!
Here it is........................
It's called "Creamy Chicken Soup"

1 small onion, chopped
1 T. Butter
3 C. chicken broth
4 medium carrots, diced small
3 medium potatoes, peeled & cubed
2 C. chicken, cooked & cubed
2 T. fresh parsley
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 C. Milk
1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese
10 T. Flour
(we don't add chicken because we love just the veggies)

Saute onion in butter; add broth & Vegetables. Bring to a boil;
reduce heat, cover & simmer until veggies are tender. Add chicken, parsley, salt, & pepper.

Combine flour & milk until smooth in another bowl. Add to vegetables.
Bring to a boil, cook & stir for 2 minutes or until thick. Reduce heat;
add cream cheese ( cut it into small pieces first) until melted.

This soup is very thick. Add milk or water if you need to.

I went to my second doctor visit last week and it took the doctor about 1 second to find the heartbeat. Everything is great! I will find out what i'm having October 21st. I was hoping a little sooner but they are very strict on waiting until 21 weeks. So, I am keeping myself very busy to keep myself from thinking about it too much! I will be 16 weeks on Wednesday this week. Which means I am almost into my 5th month! So, crazy how fast time fly's!

Summer Fun 2009!

This was at Swiss Days in Midway! It was so much fun! Perfect weather! The guy's went golfing while the girls went shopping! He has strawberry all of over him!

Okay, So Chad brought Andrew downstairs with this shirt on and it's actually supposed to be for Bentley (our yorkie). He had know idea and just thought it was cool! I was laughing so hard! Andrew thought it was so funny he didn't want to take it off!

Andrew's face is kind of cheesy in this picture but he LOVES to put on daddy's work shirts! He know's what Sunline is and would wear that shirt all day long until he starts tripping in it from being way too big!

This was at my family reunion in Preston Idaho. We went swimming at a hot springs place. It was great!

I know this picture looks kind of crazy but that is his face when he makes the pig noise. I haven't been able to get a video of it yet but I will someday and post it! You will laugh so hard! This is at a Bee's game. Andrew kept saying "baseball" "ohhh". Loved it!

My New Hair!

So, here is the picture finally! We cut 4 1/2 inches off. I have had my hair short before but it was a little shorter than I wanted it. But I love it! It's so easy to do. In fact just before i took this picture, my hair was flipped out and my bangs were pulled back. I changed it so fast and easy! Chad was worried about me cutting my hair short because ALL GUYS LOVE long hair! I don't know why but they do! So, I did it anyways and everyday Chad says " Man, I love your hair so much" and i'm not kidding when I say everyday! I know normally everyone cuts there hair short before summer and keeps it long during the fall but for some reason i'm always the opposite! And I love it!

Andrew update!

I realized that I haven't done a update on Andrew in a very long time! So, here is a little one! First of all he will be 18 months old this month! He get's to go to nursery! Yay!! I think he will LOVE it! I just hope he stays healthy each week! I can't believe how fast time goes. He tries to say any word we say.
New words he says: Dinner.....oatmeal.......love you.......football...baseball......mind you that these words aren't completely clear but you can mostly tell what he is saying.
He loves to watch baseball and football on t.v.! Of course only with his daddy! He will most of the time help me clean up his toys. Even if he has a toy in his hand and wants to go outside he will take that toy and put it back in the basket and run back to the door to go outside! With out telling him or asking him! He learns so fast!
Last month we took him to a foot doctor to get his feet checked out. He walks on the insides of his feet instead of them being flat. He doesn't have a arch at all. So the doctor gave us little plates to put in his tennis shoes to wear. He has to wear them as much as he can every day. The doc said he will probably need the plates for at least 2 years and we will see from there. Andrew can only wear tennis shoes. No sandles. Which is okay now that summer is slowly dying off. He doesn't mind them. I don't think he even knows they are in his shoes.
He is growing up so fast and every single day there is something new he learns or does or says! We love him to pieces and love the great spirit he is to our family!!

My first doctor appointment

I have two pictures on here because the top one is the baby now and the other is Andrew. Andrew's was at 10 week and 4 days and the new baby was at 11 weeks. So it's kind of awesome to see the difference between the two. Andrew's head is what gave it away on knowing he was a boy. But the new baby is smaller and didn't really get a very good head view.
The baby is perfect and healthy. My DUE date is March 3rd. We are very excited to have another beautiful baby in our family!

Is anyone else excited for the fall time to come? I love the warm weather I really do but I am excited to wear sweaters and boots and cute jackets! I know the cold weather will be here before we know it and then we all will be saying that we hate the cold. It happens every year! I just wish that fall time would last a little bit longer before winter hits, before it gets too cold to where we have to where big huge coats. I guess I also get a little excited for fall as well because in October we will find out if we are having a boy or girl. Plus that also means that I will be further along in my pregnancy and should'nt feel as sick anymore. Hopefully!
I thought that I would be able to be more patient this time to find out what sex the baby is but i am just as excited. I think also because it would be so much fun for Andrew to have another boy! I will be so excited for him but at the same time a girl would be great too because then Andrew can protect her (later in life). I guess we will find out in a couple more months! I have my first doctor appointment tomorrow. We will get to make sure there is only one baby in the oven and if there is more than one....well then we have a lot to look forward too!

Yes the picture of the baby means we are PREGNANT with baby #2!!! I am due March 5 2010 and that just seems so far away! We go to my first appointment next week to make sure there is just only one baby. We are so very excited! Lately Andrew has been saying baby all the time. Every time we are at the store and he see's a baby he just starts waving and talking to it. So, I guess in a way he knows there is another baby coming into our family!

Our 3 Year Anniversary!

This is a little late but what I can say...we have been busy!
Chad and I have been married now for 3 years! We have a beautiful 15 month old boy and life is so great! We were able to go down to St.George 2 weeks ago and we partly celebrated there but on our actual anniversary the 23rd we went to dinner at amazing Texas Roadhouse and then to a movie. Those of you who have kids knows exactly what its like to not be able to go to dinner and see a movie very often! It was such a great night to take a break from everything and just be Chad and I!
Chad is such an amazing husband and Father! He is always working so hard and always has such a positive attitude! Andrew is wanting just his Daddy lately and it's so stinkin cute! Chad is loving that he is walking now and talking and can play! I love you Chad so much! I'm so grateful for all you do!!

Girls Camp 2009

I had a wonderful opportunity to go to girl's camp this year with my ward! I am the Personal Progress Leader. We went up to Heber Camp. It was so beautiful up there! I guess anyone can go stay there...it's not just for Girl's Camp. Everyone left Monday morning and it lasted until Friday. Me and 3 other leaders left on Tuesday afternoon. On Monday night Sister Dalton that is the General Young Women's President came. We missed out on a great night! The girl's loved her to pieces! She took the time to talk to each of the girl's and gave hugs and took pictures! When we got there on Tuesday some girls came and jumped on my car..they were so excited to see it! It was so great to have them be so excited for us to be there! The meals were good. Testimony night was so great of course! It always is!
The one thing that was so different for me was to be a leader instead of one of the girls! It was so interesting but so much fun! I loved being there for all of them! I was sick pretty much everday! That was not fun!
We did go to the lake one of the days and went Canoeing and did paddle boats. That was a lot of fun!
It was so great to just be away from all of the worldy things and bills and money and to just have such a spiritual time! I needed it! I did miss my Andrew so very much! Okay...and Chad! :) Chad and Andrew had a great time though! Andrew has just been wanting his daddy lately and that's it! So it was great for them to bond more!
I am so grateful for my callings that I have! They help my testimony grow so much! I have learned so much from the girls and they are all such great examples to me!
So, overall.....girls camp ROCKED!!

Brother in Germany!

I just wanted to talk about my little brother Elder Evan Blair. He is on his mission in Germany and comes home next year. He is doing so great out there! Everyone loves him to pieces and he loves serving for the Lord everyday! I am so very grateful for the great example he is to me! I'm so grateful that he is my little brother! He has always been so positive about everything and so uplifting. Evan had some problems with his foot and had to stay in the mission home for a while and try to keep his foot up and he had a hard time with that but he really was still able to be positive and new that he needed to be where he was for a reason. Everything really does happen for a reason! I love being able to email him and hear all of his wonderful stories and all of the lives he has touched! So basically.....I absolutely love my little brother!!! We are so proud of you Ev!

Andrew is walking!!

Well Andrew is officially walking now! Yay! Of course it happened when I wasn't home!!! I was at my sister's baby shower and I looked at my phone and Chad sent me a text saying he was walking. I called him and said ya right. My brother and his 3 year old were at my house with Chad & Andrew. I told my brother last night that he would start walking because he was around his 3 year old Alana all day today. But I was joking around. I wasn't serious. It's just so funny how it happened when I wasn't there and when I try all day everyday to get him to walk. Chad said that Andrew just got up and started to walk towards Alana to play with a ball. I promise I really am so excited that he is walking. Less carrying for me to do and more things he gets to get in to! He is almost 14 months old! He is growing so fast everyday and I love how he says and does new things every day! Andrew is so much fun and the joy of my life! Here comes a whole new phase of life!!!

This is the back of the cake!

I made this diaper cake for my sister Mindy who is having her 4th child. I did the blue and brown colors to match his bedding. This is my second diaper cake I have made. On this cake I rolled each diaper. There are 66 diapers. It took me about 3 hours or so. It was fun making it! I think the best part was finding all of the fun ribbon and different fun things to put on it and in it. If anyone wants a diaper cake.....I wouldn't mind making it.

Busy Busy and Andrew got burnt.....

Well, can I just say this weekend we were very busy! It all started Friday morning. Andrew some how got a hold of my flat iron and BURNT both cheeks and on his arm. The one on his arm is about the size of a nickel and a couple smaller ones. I don't have a CLUE on how he got a hold of it. I even had the cord up on the counter in the back. He must have grown like 5 inches just standing there! I of course was flipping out. I tried to stay calm and it's so hard to! I just cried and told Chad to come home to help me. I sat there thinking...how am I going to take care of 3 kids when one of them gets hurt like this?? I guess it will all work out. That's till a ways down the road. I put cold wash cloths on it and then aloe vera and then neosporn. I talked to his nurse and thats what she told me to do. I hadn't gotten ready for the day yet and we had a graduation to go to in a hour. I didn't know how I was going to make it when Andrew just wanted me to hold him! He cried for about a good thirty minutes and then calmed down after I gave him lunch. Then he was playing again but I HAD to be in the room with him.
Anyways, he is doing much better now. They are just scabbing over and we are putting aloe vera plant on them all day long. He is such a strong boy! I just pray they don't leave any scars! I know baby's body's are fast healers and very strong!

We ended up on making it to the graduation of Chad's really close friend! It went well! That night Chad had to work for a while and got off early and came home. Saturday morning got up and dropped Andrew off at Grandpa's house to get watched while we went to the Draper Temple to be there for my Cousin Merrissa as she went through the Temple. It was so amazing!
After we went to get Andrew and went to a BBQ at my cousins house to celebrate! Then Chad went to work and I went home to do Young Women's stuff. It was a very great weekend but busy! Overall we are all safe and Andrew is doing SO much better!
Thanks to everyone for giving us advice on how to take care of Andrew's burns!!

So, I just got Andrew out of the bath and brought him into his room to put a diaper on him. The diapers were downstairs. So I hurry and ran downstairs to grab them and he was in the office trying to play on the keyboard like he ALWAYS does. I went to grab him and I put my hand under his bum to bring him into his room and he had pushed a whole lot of poo right into my hand!!!!! Oh it was so gross!!! The wonderful joys of children!!! I got a great laugh out of it!

Okay, so last night I went to a seminar on how to use coupons and save money and get free food! I'm sure everyone wants to learn that right? I am going to start collecting my own coupons and saving money. Amy said she only spends $100.00 a month for a family of 5! That is so great! Plus she has a lot of food in her food storage! Yesterday

So, yesterday was a very long and hard day for both Andrew and I. He had a fever all day and I gave him Tylenol and it wasn't doing anything. He wouldn't eat anything or drink much and just kept crying and whining and just didn't seem to be feeling very good. I was thinking he was just teething but he already has 7 teeth and the teeth that I know that come next aren't supposed to until he is about 2. If i'm correct. So Chad came home from work about 5 and he just held him and snuggled on the couch while I made dinner. After I made dinner and came to check on him, he was worse. His eyes were so very red and swollen . He was so hot and so I finally said thats it...we are taking him into the on call doctor. Which was weird because it was a total different office and different doctor. But we took him about 7 and found out he has a DOUBLE ear infection! Plus his fever and runny nose and if he is teething then his teeth. Poor little Andrew!! He got his anti-biotic and we bought some motrin instead and he is doing much better today. Eating more and much more himself! We have been so very blessed that he hasn't really gotten that sick until now. This is his first ear infection. I just have to say he is one strong boy! It is so hard on us parents when our kids are sick. You don't really know it until your actually in the situation. I wished that I could just be magic and get rid of it all and he would be completly fine. But we can't and all we can do is be the best parents ever.

I am so GRATEFUL that out of all nights this week Chad was able to be home. He worked every other night and could have worked last night but didn't. I couldn't have done last night with out him. I am so grateful for Chad and for all that he does for our family! He is such an amazing dad and husband! Especially when working two jobs and being in the Elder's Quorm presidency..let's just say he is very busy! I love him so much! I love being a mom and a wife! I have such a great life and am so grateful for it all!

So, my dad called me last Friday morning and asked if Chad and I wanted to go to the David Archuletta Concert and I was like Heck Yah! Chad said that it would be a waste of money for him to go! Which I am so glad he didn't go..he wouldn't have liked all of the 12 year old girls screaming! So I went that night with my mom & dad & little sister kaylee! It was such a blast! I completly thought his concert was sold out the day the tickets were on sale because that's what the news and everyone kept saying. But then my dad read the newspaper that morning and said there were some available. We got great seats! We were on the floor about 15th row right in the middle! Yes we did have to stand the WHOLE time but it was even more fun to stand. He is an amazing perfomer. He can sing anywhere & anything and do so great! When he was done and everyone got off the stage I said to Kaylee...."he didn't sing crush....what the..." and then all of a sudden he came back out to sing Crush! Of course! It was a great concert! Still nothing can beat a Rascal Flatt's concert but David was well worth it!

Andrew's Big Party!

Well, it was Chad's party too but he knew he wouldn't be the spot light. It was a great party! We had a lot of friends and family come! We had fruit and dip and veggies and a seven layer dip for some snacks. Which it all was so perfect. We were a little worried about the weather with it being outside but it turned out perfect. A little chilly in the shade but great in the sun. I am just so glad it was good weather...there is no way we all would have fit in our home. Andrew loved being with everyone. Of course that morning he wouldn't take his morning nap and so he didn't get his normal 2 hour nap. He was a little out of it and not as happy as he could have been. But he was happy. Isn't that how it goes when you have something big planned for the kids....they can sence it and so they decide to not do what we want them to do. Gotta love it! Andrew's cake I got for free at Albertson's. (Just in case anyone has a child turning one soon at Smith's & Albertson's they make them for free). Thanks to all of the family and friends that came!

Andrew had a great birthday! He got some great gifts and cupcakes which was perfect size for him to hold and eat. He got a Escalade car as you can see and he loves it!! I can't believe he is already 1!! It seems like yesterday when I had him! Time really does fly by so fast! I love that he is getting more independent and is being more curious about things. Getting into the toilet paper and drawers and playing the piano! Every time I have a student doing vocal warm ups he does them with us. He is going to be a GREAT singer! We love Andrew with all of our hearts! He has been such a blessing to us! He has taught us so much and everyday it's something new! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW!!! We love you so much!!!

Happy Birthday to Chad!

Well, yesterday was his birthday and I didn't get to post anything yesterday so I am today! He is 28 now! I'm sure he won't like that I am blogging about him but I am anyways! :) Us wives love to blog about our husbands! Chad had to work of course yesterday but he said he got lot's of phone calls and texts and facebook messages. When he got home from work we went to drop of Andrew at Chad's dad's house and we went to Rodizzio Grill! Man is that place to good! We ate so much food and yet I was still able to buy a chocolate at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! It was so nice for us to be out on a date. After stuffing our faces we then went back to get Andrew. It was about 9:00 and Andrew was so very hyper! I haven't ever seen him that hyper at 9:00 at night! It was such a great feeling to see how excited he gets to see his mom and dad! I love that feeling! Anyways, then we came home and Chad opened all of his gifts! I made a poster and put it on our front window so everyone could see it! I hope it was a great birthday Chad! We love you so very much!
